International partnerships support IU’s educational and research missions

Indiana University’s Office of International Partnerships connects the IU community with educational and research opportunities around the world.

The Office of International Partnerships facilitates opportunities of strategic importance through its relationships with higher education institutions, organizations, and governments at home and abroad. This extensive network expands possibilities for collaboration on faculty research and teaching, study abroad and exchange programs for students, dual degree programs with top-ranked international universities, internships and other professional development activities, and the development of institutions and organizations.

Access our services and resources

Among the many services and resources provided by the Office of International Partnerships are:

  • Guidance on the development of international partnerships and agreements with overseas institutions, including those that involve cross-border activities.
  • Identification of the best possible partners for each school’s international endeavors by way of IU’s Global Gateway offices and our existing network of contacts.
  • Assistance with the review and approval process of agreements with overseas institutions, functioning as a liaison between multiple administrative offices to ensure that all policies, regulations, and laws are followed and risks minimized.
  • Coordination of high-level delegations visiting IU and IU delegations visiting partner institutions.
