Delegations foster IU’s partnerships

Through his extraordinary vision and work, Herman B Wells, Indiana University’s 11th president and first university chancellor, shaped the global future of the university by forging international alliances, dramatically expanding foreign language offerings, and recruiting internationally renowned scholars and researchers.

Today Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie, supported by the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs, regularly leads delegations of IU faculty and staff to foster the university's engagement around the world. During these trips, the delegates meet with university and government officials to strengthen IU's educational reach and broaden international opportunities for students and faculty, as well as to engage IU alumni in the advancement of international initiatives.
